Had the opportunity to fish 2 weekends in a row, 4/26 playing hookie from work, and this past sunday.
4/26 was a good day fishing wise. Weather was great, tides were low, fished in Matagorda and caught 5 reds in very skinny water up in the grass. All fish CPR'd.
This past sunday, I took Emily out. It was as much just a paddling trip as it was a fishing one. I let her use my Revo, she had a good time in it and managed it pretty well. Water is super high and wind was a bit higher than they were calling for. Saw a few fishy signs up in the grass and chased after one, but with Emily with me I decided we'd just hang out and primarily use live bait most of the morning. We didnt catch anything Sunday. Never the less, weather was great both days and was a blessing to get out.
